This Privacy Policy explains how [FULL LEGAL COMPANY NAME], doing business as Local Perx (“Local Perx,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, protects, retains, and discloses information through the Local Perx website, progressive web application (“PWA”), dashboards, digital memberships, fundraising pages, communications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

- We retain children’s information only for as long as reasonably necessary for an approved purpose.
- Local Perx must use carefully selected service providers—such as payment, hosting, security, email, and text-message providers—to operate the Platform. Those providers may process limited information only for contracted Platform purposes and may not use it for their own unrelated advertising or marketing.

- Whether the link was prepared for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, email, text, QR code, copied link, direct traffic, or another source.
- Visits, purchases, conversion rates, and attributed dollar amounts.
A device or social platform may prevent us from identifying the final destination. In that case, the source may appear as “direct,” “shared link,” or “unknown.”

- Directly from you.
- From a parent or guardian.

- Produce aggregated or de-identified reports.
We do not use a child’s personal information to build advertising profiles or deliver behaviorally targeted advertising.
Children’s Privacy
Local Perx is designed so children can participate without independently managing accounts or providing unnecessary personal information.
Children Under 13
For children under 13, Local Perx will obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting, using, publicly displaying, or disclosing the child’s personal information, except where a limited legal exception applies.
A school or organization should not upload identifying information about a child under 13 until the approved Local Perx consent process has been completed, unless Local Perx has confirmed an appropriate legal basis.
Local Perx may use private enrollment codes or non-public participant identifiers to minimize the information collected before a parent claims and approves a child’s profile.
Parent-Managed Accounts
A parent or guardian may manage multiple children from one account. Children are not required to provide their own:
- Email addresses.
- Telephone numbers.
- Passwords.
- Payment information.
- Social-media accounts.
Public Profiles
Children’s profiles are private by default. A public fundraising page may not be activated until the required adult approvals are recorded.
By default, a public page should use the child’s:
- First name only.
- First name and last initial.
- Nickname.
- Organization-approved participant label.
A child’s full legal name should not be publicly displayed unless specifically authorized and necessary.
Photographs, Videos, and Audio
A photograph, video, or audio recording that contains a child’s image or voice is treated as protected personal information.
Local Perx requires verified parental approval before displaying a child’s photograph or other identifying media. Parents may remove that media at any time.
The child’s ability to participate may not depend on providing a photograph, video, or recording.
Location Information
Local Perx does not require precise real-time location information from children.
A campaign page may display the general city, county, school, or organization area when approved, but should not publicly display a child’s home address, daily schedule, classroom location, or precise location.
No Direct Marketing to Children
Local Perx does not send promotional messages directly to children under 13. Fundraising, membership, and account communications are directed to the responsible adult.
No Behavioral Advertising
Local Perx does not use children’s personal information for targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or unrelated profiling.
Local Perx does not knowingly permit third-party advertising networks to track children across unrelated websites or services.
Multi-Party Approval for Children’s Information
Optional public use or disclosure of a child’s personal information may require approval from:
- The child’s verified parent or legal guardian.
- The authorized organization when the information relates to its roster, campaign, branding, or program.
- Local Perx privacy or compliance personnel when a safety or legal review is required.
- The child, through age-appropriate assent, when appropriate.
These are the “Required Approval Parties.”
If any Required Approval Party declines or withdraws approval, Local Perx will use the more privacy-protective option and will not proceed with the optional disclosure.
This approval requirement does not prevent Local Perx from using a contracted provider for essential Platform operations, responding to a lawful order, preventing immediate harm, or completing another disclosure permitted or required by law. Any such disclosure will be limited to what is reasonably necessary.
Parent and Guardian Rights
Subject to identity and authority verification, a parent or guardian may:
- Review information collected about their child.
- Request a copy of that information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Withdraw consent.
- Deactivate the child’s public page.
- Remove the child’s photograph.
- Restrict future collection or use.
- Request deletion.
- Request transfer to another organization.
- Control communication preferences.
- Decline optional third-party voucher or social-sharing features.
Withdrawing consent may prevent certain optional features from operating, but it will not affect completed financial records that Local Perx must retain.
Local Perx will not require a child to provide more information than reasonably necessary to participate.
Requests may be submitted through the parent dashboard or to [PRIVACY EMAIL].
Information Visible to Organizations and Coordinators
Authorized organizations and coordinators may see information reasonably necessary to manage their campaigns, including:
- Approved participant name or identifier.
- Parent-link status.
- Assigned goal.
- Sales and progress.
- Prize eligibility.
- Transfer status.
- Campaign-related support needs.
Organizations may not use this information for unrelated advertising, sell it, publish it independently, or add it to unrelated contact lists.
Local Perx does not provide merchants or representatives with unrestricted access to child profiles. County, state, and national representatives should receive aggregated or privacy-limited reporting unless individual information is necessary for an authorized support function.
Information Visible to Merchants
Merchants may receive information necessary to validate membership and redemption, such as:
- Membership eligibility.
- Offer selected.
- Redemption time and location.
- Confirmation status.
- Limited member identification where necessary.
Merchants do not receive the identity of the student who originally received credit for a membership purchase unless specifically required, disclosed, and authorized.
Merchants may not use redemption information to create independent marketing lists unless the member separately provides consent directly to that merchant.
How We Disclose Information
Local Perx may disclose limited information in the following circumstances.
With Your Direction or Approval
We may disclose information when the applicable user and all Required Approval Parties direct or authorize us to do so.
Examples include:
- Publishing an approved fundraising page.
- Displaying a parent-approved child photograph.
- Sharing an approved campaign page.
- Sending information to a selected voucher provider.
- Linking a participant to a new organization.
- Connecting an organization with a payment account.
With Contracted Service Providers
We may provide limited information to providers that help us operate the Platform, including:
- Cloud hosting and data storage.
- Payment processing.
- Email and text-message delivery.
- Account authentication.
- Customer support.
- Mapping and address validation.
- Fraud prevention and security.
- Performance monitoring.
- Approved analytics.
These providers may process information only to deliver contracted services, protect the Platform, or comply with law. They may not sell Local Perx data or use children’s information for their own marketing.
Local Perx will evaluate providers’ privacy and security practices and limit access to the information reasonably necessary for their function.
With Participating Organizations
We may provide an organization with information needed to operate its campaign, confirm participants, calculate progress, issue rewards, and reconcile distributions.
With Payment and Financial Providers
Stripe and related financial providers may receive information necessary to:
- Process payments.
- Verify identities.
- Create connected accounts.
- Facilitate payouts.
- Prevent fraud.
- Process refunds and disputes.
- Meet banking, tax, and legal obligations.
With Third-Party Voucher Providers
If a member chooses a CMI or other third-party voucher, Local Perx may send the minimum information necessary to issue or activate that voucher.
We will disclose the provider’s identity and information requirements before the member completes the selection.
Local Perx will not send children’s personal information to a voucher provider unless it is necessary, clearly disclosed, and approved by the verified parent or guardian. Whenever possible, voucher fulfillment will use the adult purchaser’s information only.
For Legal, Safety, and Security Reasons
Local Perx may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law, regulation, subpoena, or court order.
- Respond to lawful government requests.
- Protect a child or another person from harm.
- Investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- Enforce our Terms and agreements.
- Protect Local Perx, its users, or the public.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Business Transactions
If Local Perx is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, information may be reviewed or transferred as part of that transaction.
Any recipient must protect the information under privacy obligations consistent with this Policy. Where required, Local Perx will provide notice and obtain consent before children’s information is transferred or used for a materially different purpose.
We Do Not Sell Personal Information
Local Perx does not sell personal information for money.
Local Perx does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Local Perx does not sell, rent, or provide telephone numbers, email addresses, or children’s information to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors providing support services, such as customer service or text-message delivery, is permitted only for those contracted operational purposes.
Text Messages
Local Perx may send text messages only when the recipient has provided the consent required for that category of messages.
A parent cannot provide messaging consent on behalf of friends, relatives, coworkers, or other prospective supporters.
When a parent wishes to invite someone who has not consented to Local Perx messaging, the Platform should generate a trackable link and open the parent’s personal messaging application. The parent—not Local Perx or Twilio—sends the initial personal invitation.
When someone separately opts in to Local Perx messages:
- We record the consent date, source, and approved message purpose.
- Message frequency may vary.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase where prohibited.
- The recipient may reply STOP to unsubscribe.
- The recipient may reply HELP for assistance.
- We honor opt-out requests and maintain suppression records.
Opting into one category of messages does not automatically authorize unrelated promotional messages.
Aggregated and De-Identified Information
Local Perx may create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual child, family, member, or participant.
This information may be used to:
- Measure campaign performance.
- Compare referral sources.
- Report county, state, and national totals.
- Improve merchant categories and offers.
- Monitor Platform reliability.
- Prepare business and community-impact reports.
Local Perx will not attempt to re-identify properly de-identified information except for security testing, legal compliance, or validation of the de-identification process.
Data Retention
Local Perx retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide the requested service.
- Maintain an active account or campaign.
- Complete payments, distributions, and refunds.
- Protect against fraud and disputes.
- Preserve required consent and audit records.
- Meet tax, accounting, contractual, and legal obligations.
Children’s information will not be retained indefinitely.
When a child’s information is no longer necessary, Local Perx will delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it unless retention is legally required.
Public child-profile content should be removed or made inaccessible when:
- A parent withdraws approval.
- The organization relationship ends.
- The profile is transferred or closed.
- Local Perx determines continued display is unnecessary or unsafe.
Financial transaction records may remain after profile deletion when required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, refund, or legal purposes. Those retained records will be restricted from ordinary campaign use.
The final production system must maintain a written retention schedule specifying retention periods for each category of information.
Information Security
Local Perx uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
These measures may include:
- Encryption in transit and at rest.
- Role-based permissions.
- Multi-factor authentication for sensitive roles.
- Restricted administrative access.
- Secure payment processing.
- Audit logs.
- Security monitoring.
- Backup and recovery procedures.
- Provider security reviews.
- Employee and contractor confidentiality requirements.
- Incident-response procedures.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
If a data incident creates a legal notification obligation, Local Perx will notify affected parties and regulators as required.
Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Know whether we process your personal information.
- Request access to specific information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion.
- Obtain a portable copy.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent.
- Opt out of promotional communications.
- Opt out of sale or targeted-advertising sharing.
- Appeal the denial of a privacy request.
- Use an authorized agent where permitted.
- Receive equal service without unlawful discrimination.
Because Local Perx does not sell personal information or use children’s information for targeted advertising, those opt-out rights should not be necessary for those activities. We will still honor legally valid requests.
To submit a request, contact [PRIVACY EMAIL] or use the privacy controls in your account.
We may verify your identity and authority before fulfilling a request. Parents requesting children’s information must verify their parental or legal authority.
Organization-Controlled Information
In some situations, a nonprofit, school, team, or other organization may control particular information and Local Perx may process it on that organization’s behalf.
If your request concerns information controlled by an organization, Local Perx may refer the request to that organization or coordinate a response with it.
No organization may prevent a parent from exercising legally protected rights concerning their child’s information.
Organizations should not upload academic, disciplinary, medical, disability, or other protected educational records unless Local Perx has expressly approved the use through a separate written agreement.
International Users
Local Perx is initially designed for operation in the United States but may expand to other countries.
If Local Perx operates in another jurisdiction, additional notices, consent mechanisms, contractual protections, data-location requirements, and privacy rights may apply.
International expansion will occur only after Local Perx evaluates the applicable privacy, children’s-data, communications, fundraising, and payment requirements.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy when our services, providers, legal obligations, or information practices change.
We will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice when required.
If a change materially expands how we collect, use, or disclose children’s information, Local Perx will obtain new parental consent where required before applying that change to previously collected information.

Social Sharing
Local Perx may allow parents and authorized adults to create shareable links, QR codes, images, suggested messages, and printable promotional PDFs.
The parent controls whether and where these materials are shared.
When a user shares through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, email, text, or another service, that service may independently collect information under its own privacy policy.
Local Perx will not automatically post to a child’s personal social-media account. For younger participants, social-media sharing should be performed by the parent or guardian.
